How Do I Create a Permanent Discord Server Invite?

Discord is a popular communication platform that offers various features to create and manage servers for different communities. One essential aspect of managing a server is creating a permanent invite link that allows users to join your server at any time. In this tutorial, we will guide you on how to create a permanent Discord server invite.

Step 1: Open Discord and Log In

If you haven’t already, download the Discord application or open the website in your browser and log in with your credentials. Ensure you have administrative privileges for the server you want to create the permanent invite for.

Step 2: Select Your Server

Once logged in, navigate to the left sidebar and click on the server where you want to create the permanent invite. This will open the server’s dashboard.

Step 3: Access Server Settings

To access your server settings, click on the small down arrow located next to your server’s name at the top left corner of the screen.

  • Option 1: If you are using Discord desktop app, click on “Server Settings” from the dropdown menu.
  • Option 2: If you are using Discord web version, click on “Server Settings” at the bottom of the dropdown menu.

Step 4: Navigate to Invites

In your server settings, locate and click on “Invites” from the left sidebar. This will bring up all invite-related settings for your server.

Step 5: Create an Invite

To create a new invite link, click on the green “Create Invite” button. A pop-up window will appear with various options to customize your invite.

Step 6: Set Invite Details

In the invite creation window, you can set specific details for your invite, such as expiration time, maximum uses, and more. However, to make the invite permanent, leave these options untouched.

Note: By default, Discord generates temporary invites that expire after 24 hours or after a certain number of uses. To ensure your invite is permanent, avoid modifying these settings.

Step 7: Copy the Invite Link

Once you have configured your invite settings, click on the “Generate a New Link” button. Discord will create a new permanent invite link for your server.

To copy the invite link to your clipboard, click on the “Copy” button next to the generated link. You can now share this link with others.

Additional Tips:

  • Customizing Your Invite: If you want to personalize your server’s invite link further, you can modify its URL endpoint or set a custom vanity URL by boosting your server. These options are available in server settings under the “Vanity URL” section.
  • Moderating Your Server: To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all users in your Discord server, consider implementing moderation tools such as assigning roles and permissions and using bots like Dyno or MEE6.

Congratulations! You have successfully created a permanent Discord server invite. Now you can share this invite with others to join and engage with your community anytime they want!
