In this tutorial, we will learn how to blacklist someone from a Discord server. Discord provides the ability to manage your server and control who has access to it. Blacklisting someone from your server can be useful in situations where you want to prevent someone from joining or interacting with your community.

Step 1: Open Discord Server Settings

To begin, open your Discord server and click on the server name at the top left corner of the screen. This will open the server menu.

Step 2: Navigate to Server Settings

In the server menu, select “Server Settings” from the dropdown list. This will take you to the settings page for your Discord server.

Step 3: Select “Bans” Tab

On the left sidebar of the settings page, you will see several tabs. Click on the “Bans” tab to access the ban management options.

Step 4: Add User to Ban List

In the bans management section, you will see a list of users who are currently banned from your server (if any). To add someone to this list and effectively blacklist them, click on the “+ Ban” button.

Note:

Banning a user will remove them from your server and prevent them from rejoining unless you manually unban them later.

Step 5: Enter User’s Information

A pop-up window will appear when you click “+ Ban”. In this window, enter the user’s information:

  • User: Enter either their username or user ID in this field.
  • Reason: Provide a brief explanation for why they are being banned. This is optional but can be helpful for reference.

Step 6: Confirm the Ban

After entering the user’s information and reason (if desired), click on the “Ban” button to confirm the action. The user will now be added to the ban list and blacklisted from your server.

Note:

If you change your mind or want to remove a user from the ban list, you can do so by clicking on their name in the bans management section and selecting “Revoke Ban”. This will allow them to rejoin your server if they have a valid invite link.

By following these steps, you can easily blacklist someone from your Discord server. It’s important to use this feature responsibly and only when necessary to maintain a safe and welcoming community environment.
