Adding a Discord Bot to another server can be a great way to enhance your server’s functionality and provide additional features for your members. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the steps of adding a Discord Bot to another server.

Step 1: Create a Discord Bot

If you haven’t already created a Discord Bot, you’ll need to do so before proceeding. To create a bot, follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to the Discord Developer Portal
  2. To create a bot, you’ll need to access the Discord Developer Portal. Open your web browser and navigate to the Discord Developer Portal.

  3. Create a New Application
  4. In the Developer Portal, click on the “New Application” button and give your application a name.

  5. Create a Bot for Your Application
  6. Once you’ve created your application, navigate to the “Bot” section in the left sidebar and click on “Add Bot”.

    Confirm when prompted.

  7. Copy Your Bot Token
  8. In the “Bot” section, you will find your bot’s token. Click on “Copy” to copy it to your clipboard. This token is essential for authenticating your bot with Discord.

Step 2: Authorize Your Bot on Another Server

To add your bot to another server, you’ll need certain permissions and an invitation link. Follow these steps:

  1. Generate an Invitation Link
  2. In the Developer Portal, navigate to the “OAuth2” section in the left sidebar. Under “Scopes”, select “bot”. This will generate a URL below. Make sure to select the necessary permissions your bot will require.

  3. Copy the Invitation Link
  4. After selecting the appropriate permissions, copy the invitation link provided.

This link will be used to invite your bot to another server.

  5. Paste and Open the Invitation Link
  6. To add your bot to another server, you should be an administrator or have the necessary permissions on that server. Paste and open the invitation link in a new tab or share it with someone who has administrative privileges on that server.

  7. Select a Server
  8. When you open the invitation link, you will be prompted to select a server from a dropdown menu. Choose the server you want to add your bot to and click “Continue”.

  9. Authorize Your Bot
  10. On the next page, you’ll see a list of permissions that your bot requires. Review them and click on “Authorize” to add your bot to the selected server.

Step 3: Verify Successful Addition

After completing Step 2, your Discord Bot should now be added to another server. To verify its successful addition, follow these steps:

  1. Access Discord
  2. Launch Discord and log in with your account details.

  3. Select Your Server
  4. In Discord’s left sidebar, locate and click on the server where you added your bot.

  5. Check Bot Presence
  6. If your bot has been successfully added, you should see it listed in the member list on the right side of the Discord interface. Look for its name or avatar.

And that’s it! You have successfully added a Discord Bot to another server. Enjoy exploring and utilizing your bot’s features to enhance your server’s experience!
